On October 26th at Varnapreneurs we will be talking to Silvia Pavlova – co-founder and managing partner of the cosmetics brand Wooden Spoon.

Varnapreneurs is a community of awake, proactive and active people. We hold public networking events and invite someone who has something to say not only about their successes, but also about the lessons behind them. 🔥 Who is Silvia Pavlova?
Sylvia has extensive international experience, having studied management at 7 universities on 3 continents. Before creating her brand, she worked in large international companies, including Nestlé Pet Care as part of the European Production Planning Management of 17,000 items across 18 factories in Europe and all European markets.
The story of Wooden Spoon began in her home kitchen, when after the birth of her children she could not find a clean cosmetics she could trust. Starting in 2014 with only 5,000 leva of personal capital and a first batch of 2 kilograms of serum, today she runs a business with over 40 export markets and a modern multi-million euro factory in Bozhurishte.

- 🏛️ From the kitchen to the global market – It started with 8 products that fit in one wooden box, and today its portfolio includes 187 items.
- 🎓 International recognition – The only contemporary Bulgarian cosmetic brand included in the royal baby book of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ("Baby Sussex"), as well as in the official anniversary album of Queen Elizabeth II.
- 🏢 Hidden industrial giant – In addition to its own brand, Wooden Spoon produces private label products for more than 40 international brands in Europe, mainly in Switzerland, Sweden and the Netherlands
- 🤝 Global innovation – The company is the first in Europe to create 100% natural sunscreen with transparent zinc oxide (without nanoparticles), solving the problem of white marks on the skin and protecting the environment. Receives national recognition for the Most Innovative Company in Bulgaria.
- 🧠 Business with a cause and heart – The company has been a holder of the prestigious global B Corp certificate since 2024. In the factory, the team works a 7-hour workday, has up to 6 weeks of paid leave and a vegetable garden for relaxation. The production is powered by 100% only with solar electricity, the transport packaging is made from agricultural waste, and a large part of the pallet is made from sunflower husks.

Hello, friends! Our regular couchsurfing meetings are EVERY Thursday at 8 p.m.
The location for each specific meeting will be announced 1-2 days before it takes place, so just sign up for the relevant event and keep an eye on it.
Couchsurfing meetings in Varna bring people together, they are diverse and communication is free!
Of course, bring your friends too!
At least 30 people regularly come, regardless of how many have signed up in advance.
